Deploy for Free for both Repository & Review Workspaces
Audio / Video Corruption & Encryption Detection
Exposes all encrypted or corrupted audio / video files in a Search Set or Workspace from a single user action.
Dedicated error messages are returned into the Document List, along with 0:00:00 durations, highlighting all media files that have yet to be decrypted, or that were incorrectly collected or produced.
Workspace document list will show which files can be downloaded and played outside of Relativity - even if their codec and container combination are unsupported by the web browser being used for Relativity - versus those that will never play whether inside or outside of Relativity.
No need to download individual media files to confirm whether they can be played or not.
For downloading browser-unsupported but externally playable media files, rather than just download the native, the standalone HTML
Intelligent Voice Player can be downloaded instead with its zoomable waveform with elapsed time axis, separate end-to-end waveform, direct sub-second elapsed time entry, precise 0.1 playback rate increments and Eco mode display.
Audio / Video Duration Determination & Summation
As shown in the Media section below, accurate media file durations can be listed in both H:MM:SS and summable millisecond formats, independent of the presence or absence of duration metadata, or of the reliability of duration metadata when present.
No need to make do with an absence of duration metadata, or to rely on potentially inaccurate metadata.
No need to open individual media files to confirm their actual duration, or whether they will play at all.
Total duration of playable media for the full range of selection criteria such as custodians and date ranges can be totalled up, to the sub-second, without having to manually convert from H:MM:SS.
Total actual time spent on calls between given custodians, or between a given custodian and another party or parties, and the average duration of those calls, can be analyzed for different stages of the case timeline in the workspace.
Enables the audio / video in a Relativity Search Set or Workspace to be sized by actual playable duration to the sub-second.
Dedicated User Guide with Additional Guidance
The dedicated User Guide for the free capabilities also includes guidance on identifying any corrupt or encrypted media at the preservation and collection stages of the EDRM, ahead of any import into Relativity.
Guidance is also provided on converting from Relativity-unsupported to Relativity-supported file types ahead of import, the need to import rather than process media file types into Relativity, and to respect Relativity Import's 2 GB file size limit for any file type, with mitigation options detailed for media files greater than 2 GB.
Options for either determining or at least estimating the duration of media files ahead of them being imported into Relativity are also provided.
